I'm good for now.


Battled it out with the local pros for eight 10 mile laps. 1,200' of short climbs and fast descents per lap. Dusty course. Temps in the low 80s.


The first four laps were fast, forcing me ride past my LT or get dropped. Re-fueled, hydrated and lubed the creaky chain on each lap. Gagged down hand fulls of endurolytes.


Race mind: Relax. Stay focused. Spin. Count…

Locust IV

Fourth ride in the Locust series. My first, took third. Team Summit cleaned house with 1st,2nd,3rd & 4th place positions back into the Gestalt Haus. Jim lead, followed shortly behind by Gabe, myself and Shiloh. All of us only a few minutes apart.



Early on the climb up Loma, team green, orange and black pulled away from the rest of the field. The first aid station was barely prepared for the Summit train barreling through. With the gap established, we could ease…

Crossdresser Races

I participated in the last 2 of this year's 3 DFL Crossdresser CX races.

I guess this will be the last year of this series, as it has become too popular for the urban underground race format.

You can race for free if you wear clothes of the opposite sex. Any bike goes. I wore my normal kit and rode my Superfly rigid at 17.5 lbs, 1x9 with Schwalbe Furious Fred tires.
